Keep in mind Afforai is meant to help you manage your research resources and help you do research responsibly, not to do your research for you. Hallucinations varies depending on use cases and prompts and make sure to always verify the AI answers.

When encountering the situation where the AI repeatedly mentions it lacks access to the documents or not performing to your expectations, there are a couple potential solutions that you can try:

Clear Conversation History:

  • When you choose to "Delete Conversation," you are specifically removing the chat log associated with a particular AI assistant. This action is useful when you want to clear the conversation history with a specific assistant.

TIP: Deleting the conversation when it gets too long would refresh the cache of the AI assistant and significantly improve performance.

Utilize Document Specification:

  • Employ the feature by typing "@" in the message bar to specify the documents the AI should reference, enabling a more targeted answer generation process.

Use An Advanced AI Model:

  • Increasing the number of connected documents can saturate the context window, potentially hindering the AI's ability to process all documents effectively.

  • To mitigate this issue, consider utilizing more advanced AI models like Claude Sonnet or GPT-4, which can handle larger document sets with improved efficiency.
